Waverley has four towns and no centre. Farnham is the largest, Godalming is where the council works from, and Haslemere and Cranleigh are separate again, each with their own high street and their own set of arguments. The villages between them, Wrecclesham, Badshot Lea, Tilford, Frensham, Elstead, Milford, Witley, Chiddingfold, Farncombe, Bramley and Hindhead, mostly identify with whichever town they shop in.
