Higher Ground Kaffe, the Maltings riverside cafe and The Hobo at Farnham Pottery: 10 Farnham cafes with hours, dog rules and hygiene ratings checked.
The Farnham cafes most people look for are Higher Ground Kaffe in Borelli Yard, an independent speciality coffee bar; the Riverside Cafe at Farnham Maltings, beside the Wey; and The Hobo, the cafe inside the Grade II listed Farnham Pottery at Wrecclesham. For a country stop, Little Latte in Tilford is the usual pick. Every entry was checked against the cafe’s own website on 25 October 2026.
We have not visited these cafes for this guide, and nothing here is a review. Each entry sets out what the cafe says about itself and what it publishes about hours, food and dogs, then adds the public record: the Food Standards Agency hygiene rating, the town council’s directory, the National Heritage List and the Herald’s reports. Opening hours change with the seasons, so check before a special trip.

How we chose
These are the Farnham cafes people search for and can check: established independents, the cafes at the town’s landmarks, a well-known chain, and community cafes that are open to everyone. Each one has a food hygiene rating of 4 or 5 and publishes its opening hours, and none had posted a closure notice. The facts come from each cafe’s own website, Farnham Town Council’s directory, the Food Standards Agency, the National Heritage List and the Herald.
