Haslemere has two firework displays this year and both are on the same night, Saturday 7 November 2026, two days after bonfire night itself. They suit different families. The Hills Fireworks at Hindhead Playing Fields is the early one, with the fireworks at about 5.45pm so small children are home for bed. Haslemere Museum’s display in its High Street garden starts later, with the fireworks at 7.30pm, and the museum asks people not to bring pushchairs.

Tickets for both are on sale now, online only. Everything below was checked on 30 September 2026 against the organisers’ own booking pages.

The quick answer

The Hills Fireworks, Hindhead: the early show

This is the display that began years ago as Beacon Hill Fireworks. It is now run jointly by the Friends of Beacon Hill School and the Friends of Woolmer Hill School, and this is their third year together. After two years at Woolmer Hill School, it is back at Hindhead Playing Fields in Beacon Hill for 2026 (The Hills Fireworks 2026).

The organisers publish this timetable:

The food is Simply Hog Roast, Barnyard Birds and Club Pizza, with mulled wine and hot chocolate from the Seymours teams from Haslemere and Grayshott, and Hindhead Cricket Club opening its pavilion bar. Every stall takes cash or card this year.

The booking page showed 1,881 general admission tickets left and 100 of the “on the day” tickets. Despite the name, those are still bought online: the organisers say plainly there are no tickets on the gate. Book through the EventCreate checkout.

The rules

  • No dogs, no sparklers and no glass bottles.
  • Tickets are non-refundable.
  • Parking is on nearby streets, first come first served, and the organisers ask you to be considerate of residents. Disabled parking is by booking, by email to beaconhillpta@hotmail.com.

Haslemere Museum: the later show in the garden

Haslemere Educational Museum’s Annual Firework Display is in its garden behind 78 High Street, GU27 2LA. Doors open at 6.30pm and the fireworks go up at 7.30pm, followed by the lighting of the bonfire; the booking page gives a finish of 8.30pm. The museum promises Haslemere Rock Choir, hot food cooked by Haslemere Scouts, a bar with mulled wine and beer, and a café for hot drinks (Haslemere Museum booking page).

Babes in arms go free. Member tickets are limited to one per person covered by a membership, and the museum checks. Tickets went on general sale on 15 September and sales close at 4.30pm on Thursday 5 November.

Three things to know before you book:

  • No pushchairs. Because of the space and the numbers, the museum asks you not to bring babies or young children in pushchairs.
  • It is loud. The museum recommends ear defenders for young children and anyone who finds loud noise difficult.
  • Weather. The reserve date is Thursday 12 November. If the 7th is postponed for weather, no refunds are given.

Which one to pick

With children under five, The Hills is the easier evening: gates open at 4pm, the fireworks start at about 5.45pm, and it is on an open playing field. For older children and adults who want the town-centre evening with a choir and a bar, the museum’s garden is right on the High Street.

Getting there and parking

For the museum, the nearest Waverley car parks are in the town centre, and Weydown Road is close to the station (Waverley: Haslemere car parks).
