Farnham Fireworks 2026: Saturday 7 November, 7.45pm

Farnham has two firework displays this autumn and neither is on bonfire night itself, which falls on Thursday 5 November 2026. The big one, the Farnham Round Table’s Fireworks and Torchlit Procession, is on Saturday 7 November in Farnham Park, with the fireworks going up at about 7.45pm. Farnham Rugby Club runs Fireworks to Music the evening before, on Friday 6 November.

Everything below was checked on 4 September 2026 against the organisers’ own sites. One warning first, because it is the mistake most people are about to make.

The date you will find in search results is last year’s

The Farnham Round Table’s own website at farnhamroundtable.org.uk still reads “Farnham Fireworks & Torchlit Procession will take place on Saturday 8th November 2025”. That page has not been updated. The 8th was a Saturday in 2025; in 2026 it is a Sunday.

The live page is the event’s own site, farnhamfireworks.com, which carries Saturday 7th November 2026 and a full running order. That is the one to trust.

Farnham Fireworks and Torchlit Procession: the running order

The Round Table publishes the whole evening minute by minute. This is its own timetable, not an estimate.

Food and drink vendors serve from 5pm to 9pm, with a Hogs Back bar, mulled wine and hot drinks from The Hedgehogs, and everything from burgers to Thai food and churros. There are more vendors in the car park at Birdies.

It is not a council event. The Round Table answers this directly on its own FAQ page: the volunteers come from the Round Table, Scouts, school PTAs, Farnham Youth Choir and the 41 Club. Waverley and Farnham Town Council review the event management plans, provide the park and car park bookings and approve the road closures, and are otherwise not involved. The Round Table has run the night since 1976, and the Farnham Herald reported in October 2025 that the previous year’s event raised £35,000 for local schools, Scouts, sports groups and families in need.

Tickets are not on sale yet

As of 4 September the farnhamfireworks.com site says “Buy Tickets Soon”. No 2026 prices have been published. When they do go on sale, three rules from the organiser’s FAQ apply and they catch people out every year:

• Online only. There are no tickets on the gate, and no cash or card taken there. If you turn up without a ticket you are not getting in.
• Torches are an add-on, bought at the same time as the ticket, and there is a limited number. You must be over 18 to carry one. There are novelties for younger children instead.
• Tickets are a non-refundable donation. If the night is called off, for example on a Met Office severe weather warning, the Round Table says it will cover its costs first and then contact ticket holders about options.

If you want to walk in the procession, be at Waggon Yard before 6pm to collect your torch and be wristbanded. It sets off at 6.15pm behind the Reading Scottish Piper Band. Anyone else can join it as it moves up through the town and go through the ticket gate at the park.

Getting there, and the parking problem

There is no parking in Farnham Park for this event. The Round Table’s advice is to park in the town centre and walk, or park up above Folly Hill in the Drover’s Way area and walk down. Note that Waggon Yard car park is closed for the procession, so it is not an option on the night.

Blue Badge holders can request one of a limited number of spaces in the park car park by emailing the organisers, first come first served. Two conditions come with it: you have to arrive before 6pm, and you cannot leave until the road closures lift at about 8.45pm. Turning up on the night without a reservation is unlikely to work.

Waverley car parks in Farnham are not free on a Saturday. Sundays and Christmas Day are the free days. Our Farnham parking page has every tariff, including the £6.80 all-day rate at St James that most people never find.

The route is worth watching. The procession climbs Castle Street, and Castle Street has been closed to northbound traffic since Sunday 16 August for about six weeks of kerbing work, with a full resurfacing to follow “before seasonal weather conditions deteriorate later in the year”, in Surrey County Council’s own words. No temporary traffic order for 7 November has been published yet. Check the Farnham roadworks and travel page in the days before.

The practical stuff, from the organiser’s FAQ

• No sparklers. The organisers say they have no arrangements for using or disposing of them safely.
• Toilets are in the car park beside the event.
• First aid is St John Ambulance, based near the main entrance to the park, with cover on the procession as well.
• Lost children go to the Info tent near the main entrance, and marshals in hi-vis are the people to find. Lost property ends up there too.
• Wheelchairs: the park is mostly grass and normally gets muddy. There are a few tarmac paths and small areas of hard standing, plus the Birdies area, but you will be limited in where you can go.
• Prams: avoid if you can. The park is on a hill with steep sections, and coming up from the town outside the closure times means the Bishops Steps, about 50 of them, up to the castle.
• The guy competition is open to local schools, nurseries and community groups, by email to the organisers.

Farnham Rugby Club: the night before, and priced now

Fireworks to Music, sponsored by Foreman Homes, is on Friday 6 November 2026 from 6pm to 10.30pm at Farnham Rugby Club, GU9 9ND. The club’s own listing puts the display at around 7.45pm, the same time as the Saturday event, with food, refreshments and stalls on site.

Those are the amounts the booking page shows, and the odd pence suggest the booking fee is already inside them. The club says prices rise after 30 September.

Which one to pick

If you want the procession, the bonfire, the guy competition and the crowd, that is the Saturday event in Farnham Park, and you will need to be quick when tickets open because torches sell out. If you want a shorter, seated, easier evening with parking on site and a price you can see today, the rugby club on the Friday does that job.

Still to be confirmed: 2026 ticket prices and the on-sale date for the Round Table event, expected during September or early October, and any temporary traffic order for the Castle Street closures on 7 November. This page will be updated when either lands.
